About the Author
Dr. Allen Bohl
Dr. Allen Bohl is a native of Vermilion, Ohio. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in1970, a master’s in education from the University of Southern Mississippi in1973, and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in1978.
His extensive career in athletic administration began as an Assistant Athletic director at Ohio State, and then continued as Athletic Director at the University of Toledo, Fresno State, and the University of Kansas. For nearly 25 years, Bohl provided impressive leadership for athletic programs across the nation.
Al and his wife, Sherry, live in St. Augustine, Florida where he is working on his third novel, Over the Oak…and playing golf!!
In addition, he is an adjunct professor at Flagler College and serves on the Community in Schools Board for St. John’s County.
They have two sons, Brett and Nathan, and a daughter, Heidi Sherwin. They are also the proud grandparents of four grandsons and two granddaughters.
Brett Bohl
Brett Bohl is the Founder and President of The Bohl Group, Inc., based out of Dublin, Ohio. The Bohl Group is a consulting firm with a focus on fundraising, motivational speaking and direct sales,
He is a dynamic leader, engaging speaker, and enthusiastic entrepreneur. Professionally,
Brett has had the privilege to speak in front of numerous groups at the Corporate,
Government and University levels. Before leaving the corporate world to start his own company in the spring of 2004, Brett worked in the Educational Software, Technology Consulting and Executive Search and Recruiting Industries. He has achieved multiple awards and recognition for his work.
He is a graduate of the University of Toledo, where he played football for the Rockets and was an active member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Brett and his wife Joyce have been blessed with two children – son, Brady Allen and daughter, Taylor Lorraine.
Sherry Bohl
Sherry Bohl is the mother of three children and Nana to six grandchildren. She continues to have an outstanding career as an elementary teacher. Through the years she has taught students from kindergarten to fourth grade. Her goal has been to help each child grow as an individual and gain skills that will assist them through their lives.
Sherry earned her bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and her Master in Education from the University of Kansas. She presently is employed as a first grade teacher in the St. Johns County School District in St. Augustine, Florida
